  • Syngenta has acquired Macspred Australia for an undisclosed amount

  • The acquisition strengthens the presence of Syngenta in aligned markets

Syngenta has successfully completed the acquisition of Macspred Australia, specialists in industrial, forestry and non-crop weed control, a business located in Ballarat, Victoria, for an undisclosed amount. The newly acquired company enhances the range of services provided by Syngenta, positioning it to meet the needs of customers throughout the country.

Macspred has specialised in vegetation management in forestry, roads, rail, utilities and infrastructure for over 30 years, researching and developing products specifically for these situations. The acquisition is for 100% ownership and includes all products, toll formulation, manufacturing and distributorship sites, warehousing, and intellectual property.

All Macspred employees will transfer to Syngenta Australia Pty Ltd, while remaining based in Macspred locations.
