The 13th Mosquito Control Association of Australia (MCAA) Conference will be held at the Peppers Salt Resort and Spa in the Tweed Shire, northern New South Wales between the 2nd and 5th of September 2018. The MCAA conference is the premier event in Australia that explores the latest advances in mosquito biology and ecology, the diseases they carry and their management.
The theme of the 2018 conference is “Smart ideas leading to local solutions” and will draw on the experience of international and Australian mosquito experts and the solutions they have developed to control mosquitoes and reduce the incidence of mosquito-borne disease throughout Australia.
The conference will bring together research scientists, field biologists, and vector control specialists in a unique networking environment designed to promote collaboration and partnerships to improve preparedness, prevention, and control of vector-borne diseases of public health importance.
This meeting will provide an exciting forum for the exchange of ideas and knowledge. International and national keynote speakers and discussion groups will ensure that delegates have access to the latest developments on existing and emerging mosquito management technologies, methodologies and options.
